Art Portfolios, 1960 - 1975

Scope and Contents

Five portfolios that contain a large array of original drawings, woodcut prints, publication proofs, posters, and other items; all of which either feature artwork produced by Roger Law or relate in some fashion to his professional activities with various publications, organisations and companies. There are also some items that were made in collaboration with Deirdre Amsden.

Artwork produced by Roger Law in a professional capacity. The material present has been split into three main sections: art portfolios, The Establishment nightclub murals/giant cartoon strips, and woodcuts.

Scope and Contents

ff.26; 350 x 222mm; text size 300 x 148mm; 32 lines, one gathering, unbound.
The NT was printed by Jos. Christoph. Frenckell and son and published Helsingfors: BFBS, 1840 (DM 3653) and Abo Finnish BS, 1844 (DM 3654). Both these editions were seen through the press by Archbishop Eric Gabriel Melartin, on behalf of the Bible Society. The orthography was corrected in 1840 and further corrected in 1844.
